Two Additional Bodies Are Found
in Pamplico Tragedy.
Pamplico, S. €., Jan. 16.—Discov
ery today of the hodies of two other
members of the Brigham family re
vealed that the entire family, living
.about four miles from Pamplico, \\::S]

The body of the other members of%
the family, L. S. Bigham, 40 years
of age, son of ‘Mrs. L. S. Bigham,
was found today about 11 g¢’clock in
the woods abouf one-half mile from
the house, lying in an obscure spot
surrounded by bushes with a wound
in his right temple. His hand was
holding a revolver in which there
were two bullets.
Family Prominent.
An inquest is heing held huf the
reporf of the jury has not been re
ceived.
The family had long bheen promi
nent in this section of the State, the
father having heen a member of
hoth branches of the South Carolina
general assembly aund at one time a
candidate for Congress.
E. D. Bigham, brother of the dead
man, and his family, consisting of
his wife and two children, had re
cently moved to South Carolina from
Georgia or Alabama and were occu
pying rocms in the hceme. They were

Riechmond, Va., Jan. 15.—~When

OFFICER SHOT IN SAVANNAH
‘Savannah, Ga., Jan. 15—Harry A.
Miller, age 41, a policeman in the
employ of the Central Georgia rail
way, was shot tonight in the train
shed cf the railroad by W. F. Ger
rard, a motorcycle officer of the city
volice force, Late tonight there was

covery. He was shot three times, the
city policeman firing five shots at
him at close range, three of which

GUUARDSMEN HELD
Alabamians Arrested in Connectior
With Lynching.
Birmingham, Ala, Jan. 16.—Ten
members c¢f company M. Alabama
National Guard were ordered ar
rested and brought to the Jefferson
county jail tonight by Judge Horace
Wilkinsen, special solicitor, who is
conducting an investigation into the
lynching of Wm. Baird, a miner, at
Jasper, Thursday morning.
