Seager, with piano accompniment
by Mrs. C. L. Harris, were delightful
features.

ty salad course with hot coffer, were
served.

BREADS FOR BREAKFAST.
Bran Muffins,
Mix and sift 1 cup -flour, 1 tca
spoon soda and 1 teaspoon salt. Add
2 cups bran, 114 cups milk, % cup
molasses and 1 wellheaten egg. Mix
well and bake in butiercd muflin

Quicic Mulfins,
Mix and sift 114 cups flour, 312
{eaapoens baking powder and 1 tea
epoen salt. With two forks or the
ting cf the fingers work in 3 table
spoens lard. Add abouf 2-3 cup milik
or milk and water. Drop into hot
buttered muflin pang and bake in a
rather guick oven.
Cornmeal Griddle Cakes.
Mix #% cnp water-ground meal with
11: «cups flour, 4 teaspoons baking
pewder, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 table
spocns sugar. Beat 1 egg until light
add 1% cups milk and add to dry in
erodients. Then add 2 tablespoons
meltad shortening. Cook on a greas
od het griddle.
