Dead and Wounded Unknown

to give the names of men reported to
be dead or womnded in the Saturday

Dr. Bahngen stiated this afternoon
following a lengthy consultation with

long as the dipping law is a law, no
man or set of men ean be allowed to
nullify it in any county. He would
make no statement as to future plans
Developments here today were in
the ature of a warrant issued for
Beauregard Corbett, a promiment cat
tle grower of this county, on the
charges of assaulting a cattle inspee
tor and with interferring with the
latter in the discharge of his duties.
Corbett was arersted and he gave
bond for his appearance in court
A warrant was also issued for Wal
ter Corbett, son of Beauregard Cor
bett, in conncetion with the assault
on the cattle inspector.
County is Helpless
Echols county commissioners de
clare they are unable to procced any‘
further in the enforcement of the
State and Federal cattle dipping laws.i
They say that as fast as they have
built vats they have been blowed up
by the anti-dipping faction, and now
their funds are exhausted. They have
appealed to the State for aid.:
More than a month ago the cattle
growers of Echols eounty held a mass
meeting and adopted resolutions phme

he has accepted a call, after eleven
