London. July 19.—British officials
today conformed the death of Major
Robert Imbrie, American vice con
sul in charge at Teheran, Persia, who,
it was stated, was attacked by a fa
natical mob. yesterday morning while
photographing a public fountain in
comptfi?y with another American
named Seymour.

while Seymour, whom it was impos
sible. to identify further, was taken
to the hospital in a critical condi
tion. ;

State Department the death of Ma

fry out at Daphne, last evening. The
fish supper was prepared by Sam Bind
rick, Howard Comer, and Jack Comer.
All of the Lions that were present
declared that the eat fish stew that
“Little Sam’’ made last night was the
hest that he had ever made. Those pres
ent at the fry ate so much fishsiew,
and ‘‘fish bread’’ that it was all they

man giving his name as Frank Har
rell was arrested lost night at Harts
ville, S. C., and is bheing held as a
suspect in the MeLeary case, says
a dispatch today to the Columbia
Record. Harrell was said to have
been implicated in connection with
the slaying July 2 of Major Samuel
H. McLeary by the confession of
Mortimer N. King.
Warrants Sworn Out
Columbia, S. C., July 19.—Al
though Mortimer N. King, who, of
ficers say, confessed to the slaying
of Major Samuel H. McLeary near
Cheraw July 2, was held here in‘
Richland county jail as a prisoner
for federal authorities, Sherift
Grant, of Chesterfield county was ex
pected today with the warrant for
his arrest on a charge of murde.
