~ ATLANTA, August 7.—The house
'ways and means committee today re
ported the general tax Dhill for the
years 1926-27 a bill which is the com
mittee substitutc measure Chairman
Harris states which will raise the rev
enue approximately one million dol
lars the year more than the last tax
act. The biggest change in the tax
law provision carried by the bill for
levying privilege or the license tax
for recording all papers given to se
cure payment of any debt, or for con
veying the title of real estate. The
tax would amount to ten cents on
each one hundred dollars for consid
eration.
