GEORGIA ASSEMBLY DOWN TO BUSINESS UNDER FOURTH CALL
GOVERNOR’S PROCLAMATION
READ BEFORE ANY BILLS
PERMITTED TO BE OFFERED.
ATLANTA, Ga., March 19—The
third extra session of the general as
sembly since February 24 convened
today and hearl the newest procla--
mation of the governor. The spirit of
confusion which prevailed yesterday
had fled the halls today and mem
bers of the house and senats went
through the formalities of the first
day of te new session-.as though
nothing had happened.
'Sixty members were absent from
te house when the roll was called.
There was but one subject for parlia
mentary discussion, wether the jour--
nal of yesterday’s proceedings
should be confirmed or wether it
should be disregarded by the new
session.
Represeniative Flynt of Spaulding
raised the point that yesterday was
the twenty-third and last day of on
session and that today was the first
day of a separate and distinct session
Before bills were permitted to be
introduced the eltrk proceeded to
read the governor’s rroclamation.
