The funeral of Mr, J. F. Adkins,
aged fifty-seven, who died Saturday
night at his home in the Zion Hill,
community, following an illness of
+ ceveral weeks, was held at Zion Hill
church on Sunday afternoon at|
three o’clock. |
The funeral services were con-|
ducted by his former pastor, Rev. T.|
IL. Horton. He had for several years
| been a consistent member ®t the |
Zion Hill Baptist church and wag
well known for his peaceful, imlus-i
trious and homeloving qualities.
That he had numbers of friends was
attested by the large crow® that at
! tended the funeral. I
! His wife and two daughters, Miss
' es Audris and Iva Adkins survive!
| him, two daughters and an only son
;' having died a few years ago. He was!
' a brother of Mr. J. T. Adkins of Cor-,
