(#)—Peach growers are advised tol
start treating Hiley peaches for the|
third application of spray or dust
immediately, according to orders is
sued by the government laboratory
here today.
Thiz application, says the report,
is applied about two weeks before
the fruit enters the pit-havdening
stage and is primarily for the con
trol of scab and brown-rot. The El
bertas, Georgia Belles, and Hales z\l-i
so are ready for the third aplication,
which varieties should be treated im-i
mediately upon completion of the
Hiley acreage.
Carmen, Early Rose and the early
varieties should receive the third
treatment next week, the report says
