Butler Co-eds To Refrain
From ‘Bitting Out’ Dances
' INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 21—
Henceforth Jacks and Jills of Butler
university here will dance at their
social functions or talk to the chap
erones as the result of an edict by
Miss Evelyn Butler, college dean of;
wommen, to the effect that “sitting]
out” dances in automobiles or othe_r‘
places of seclusion will be strietiy
prohibited in the future. l
Miss Butler also forbids a: co-ed
and her escort to ride to an out-of':
town dance unaccompanied, Further
more, according to Butler authori--
ties, drastic ‘measures will be taken
if students insists on overloading
their cars to an extent greater than
