SAVANNAH, Ga., May 21.—~1n the
face of the almost steady rain that
poured down yesterday the Knights
’l‘emph.i;s carried out every item on
the program o«f the second and last
day of the sixty-fifth annual conclave
of the grand commandery of Georgia.
The program included a boat ride on
the steany:r Merchant, During the
morning businevs session, the follow
ing officers were installcq to serve
for the year:

The closing exerciseg in the War
wick High School will take place soon
the baccalaureate sermon heing sched
uled for Sunday, May 30th and th=
graduating exerciges for Friday night,
June 4th. The sermon will be preach
ed by Rev., Mr. Baskin of Sylvester
and the literary address will be de
livered by Rev. N. M. Lovein of Ma
con.
The junior-senior play will he pre
sentgd on next Friday night, May 28th
at eight-thivty. The anusical recital
will be offered on Tuesday night, June
Ist. Superintendent H. B. Franklin
and his corpa of teachers are com
pleting a year of great usefulness for
the high school at Warwick, The
school is now on the full accredited
list, with three graduates going cut
this time, These are Ssuye B, Ing
ram, Mamyie Spillers, and Edwin
Clements.

terest, both in the city and country.
At noon, the guests assembled at
the Shrine Country Club for a fish
luncheon. Dne to the downpour, the
luncheon was not served under the
oaks according to the plan, but was
served in one of the buildings.

PADUCAH, Ky., May 22—(#)—
Mrs. E. B. Motley, wife of the pas
tor of a church at Murray, Ky., kill
ed her 18 months old son, Edwin
Lewis Motley, today by crushing his
head with a Boy Scout hatchet,
Mrs, Motley had recently returned
from a Murray hospital where she
had been under treatment for men
tal trouble. :
The mother and son were together
e¢n the front porch this morning at
about 8:30. The father was upstairs.
Taking the lad by the hand Mrs,
Motley lead him to the bath room.
A moment later she rushed out
sereanting that she had killed her
baby. Mr. Motley found the child
with his skull crushed, dead.
Mris. Motley was placed under
watch at her home where she was in
a hysterical condition,
Mrs. Motley was adjudged insanc
in Calloway county court at noon to
day and will be taken to the Hop--
kinsville hospital at once,

C. B. Brown, who before her marriage

will be buried at Sunnyside cemetery
tomorrow afternoon. The body will
ar.ive in Cordele’ on the Seaboard
train from Montgomery Sunday af
ternoen,
All these parties were for a num
ber of years citizens of Cordele, Mr.
I"csg having for a number of years
worked with the Seaboard Railway as
vard engireer .in Cordele.
Friends of these people are urged
to attend the funeral services and
‘especially is the invitation to -the
'members of the Baptist Men's Bible
clags of which both Mr. F. E. Call,
.and Mr. C. B, Brown were loyal mem
‘bers for a number of years.

j The Mac Bybee Players will close

Tent Theatre when they will offer
the big western comedy drama “The
Woman Hater.”

BABY BOY IS BURIED
The funeral services for little War
ren J. Jr, son of M\and Mrs. W.
W. Musselwhite, were conducteq at
the Musselwhite cemetery yesterday
afternoon, Rev. ‘Mr. Greer in charge.
The remains were brought to the
heme of the grand parents, Rev. and
Mrs. T. H. Horton Wednesday ' after
noon to wait for the services. He
died in Hallendale, Fla., where the
parents resided. Mr. W, J. Mussel
white and Mr. G. W. Byrd accompan
ied the saddened family here for the
funeral,
