NEW YORK, June 2—(#P)—Cali
fornin is the “worst state in . the
coun:ry for civil lizerty,” says the
annual report of the American Civil
Litertics Union, made public today.
The report asserts 71 of the 77 po-|
litica! prisoners in America are held
in California, five in Wazhingtos and
one in Kansas,

The body of Ensign Schmidt wasg
