WASHINGTON, June 10—Long
forgotten incidents of the Spanish-
Amgrican war days in Georgia are

Mrs. Emma Pate, 33, was shot and
“instantly killed this morning at her
home here by her husband, E. 8.
Pate, 45, who then turned the gun on
himself and inflicted wounds from
which he will probably die says he
does not want to livé, and ' that he
had told his wife that he would shoot
himself after killing her. Sh‘é had beg
ged him not to kill Her, Pate at

mestic troubles. The couple have
four young children .who yesterday
were taken to the home -of Mrs
Pate’s mother near Ducktown, Tenn:

ORDERED TO VACATE
MIAMI, Fla., June 10—(#)—Van
derbilt’s Illustrated Daily Tab today
was ordered by Judge J. B. Shippey
to vacate its présent home and plant
here by Jume 20. The court order
was handed down in the case of
News Tower, Inc.,, a subsidiary of
the Miami Daily News, against Van
derbilt Newspapers Inc.
The action was brought ‘under the
landlord and tenant's act, alleging
‘nonfulfillnient of contract by failure
to pay rent. No announcement har
been made by officials of the Tab
regarding future pubblication.
