DEKLE-CONEY WEDDING /
BEAUTIFUL HOME EVENT ‘
" Marked by beautiful simplicity
was the marriage on Saturday even
ing of Miss Lexie Dekle to Mr. Wal
ter E. Coney of Tampa.
In the recepfion hall where the
beautiful ring ceremony was per
formed by Rev: Tiny Tippett, of Vi
enna, a color scheme of white and‘
green was carried out in all the dec-!
orations, quantities of shasta daisies
and white hydrangeas being used in
profusion with-palms;-ferns and oth
er growing plants. The .bride and
groom stood before an improvised
altar under the chandelier.
In the drawing room quantities of
sweet peas were used on mantel and
piano. An immense floor basket held
beautiful pink gladioli while a pink
floor lamp and numerous pink
tapers further carried out the pink
color scheme which prevailed in thi?
room and in the-dining room which
were thrown together.
The bride’s table was espccia]lyi
beautiful. Centering the immense
dining table was a handsome lacc*‘
mat over pink. Over this was placed
a circular mirror which reflected thef
handsome silver basket resting on it
which was filled with shaded pink
swect peas. Streamers of white tulle
extended from the chandelier to the
corners of tl'rg table where they were
tied to the h'gfidles of baskets con
taning mini& In each fluffy bow
was placed d?finy bouquet of pink
sweet peas. g'
The bride‘él:gifts were displayed in
this room. 'l‘hq?b:' were many and hand-

Just as the hour approached Miss
Madge Lasseter, took her seat at the
piano and played Menelsshon’s Wed
‘ ding March while Miss Audrey Dekle
approached from one door and Mr
Cecil Tate, from another. They met
in the middle of the rear hall and
approached together, taking their
places in the reception hall. The
bride and groom entered together
and were made man and wife in a
most impresgive ceremony by Rev
Mr. Tippett. During the wedding, Dr
Louise Tipton sang softly “I Love
You Truly” and “Because.”
The bride was especially lovely in
her wedding costume of white crepe
back satin trimmed in real lace, the
designs in the lace being outlined in
seed pearls and rhine stones. The
snowy veil was of tulle, held in place
by a coronet of real orange blos--
soms the veil beeing showered with
orange blossoms. It fell in graceful
folds to the hem of her dress. With
this she wore white kid slipperz
adorned with white rosettes and or
ange blossoms. A string of pearls
was her only ornament. She carried
a beautiful bouquet of bride’s roses
'¢hotvered with valley lilies and tied
';'.vith white tulle. Miss Dekle is an un
psually, attractive brunette and she
made a beatiful bride.
' Miss Audrey Dekle, the maid of
honor, was attired in a beautiful blue
taffeta costume made with a tight
{itting bodice with bouffant skirt
made entirely of rules of maline. She‘
wore silver slippers. An arm boudquet
of white and pink sweet peas show-}
ered with sweet peas and tied with
an immense bow of pink tulle com
pleted this lovely toilette. |
The bride’s mother, Mrs. George
Dekle’s costume was of beaded peach
georgette with which she wore 2
corsage bouquet of pink russet roses
Miss Madge Lasseter, who played
the wedding march, was beautiful in
.a costume of pink and rose changea
ble taffeta, made with tight waist
and bouffant skirt. She wore a cor
sage bouquet of the same shade of
russet roses as did Mrs. Dekle and
Dr. Tipton, who ‘sang the wedding
music. She was dressed in a rose
dream cloth, beaded in a sunburst
design of ecrystals and brilliants.
The bride Wesented dainty filigree
pins to her maid of honor and the
other attendants. The groom’s gift
to his best man was a sterling belt
buckle set.
After an informal reception, thcl
Eride and groom left for a wedding
trip which will terminate with Tam-[
pa, their future home. l

known. The groom is a young man of
sterling qualities and is also very
popular.
