arrested,
Sheriff Dishong killed a man
named Johnson several weeks ago un
der similar circumstances and the
grand jury after an inquiry dtopped
the matter,
WELCOX CITIZEN IS DEAD
ABBEVILLE, Ga., —David Fair
cloth died at his home between Se--
ville and Pitts, Tuesday morning. He
had been in failing health for some!
time. He was 72 years old, and had
lived in Wilcox county all his life.l
He leaves besides his wife, eight!
children, six boys and two girls, his‘
daughters Being Mrs. Dewie Me-
Cranie, of 'Weet Palm Beach, Fla.,
and Mrs. Floyd Jordon, of Miami.
Six sons, Luke, of Mississippi, Smith
of ‘the highway department, Bennett
of Rochelle; Milton, of Douglas; Cal
vin, of Oklahoma; and John Faircloth
and D. R. Faircloth, of Seville.
Mr. Faircloth was a member of
Union Baptist church, and the
funeral will be held at that church
Wednesday.
