DEATH CALLS MOTHER. |
-~ Therc is no word that can soft:n}
the sorrow which comes to us in the
wake of death. Long and patient en

most heart-breaking, because 'Lhra_)ufz‘n‘

and hope was marked throughout
the long fight for recovery.
As her life mellowed and sweeten:

man needs, the struggles humanity
has to faee in the world. She lived 2
great heart full of sympathy for al!
those who faced trouble, suffering
and need. Her own were not by any
means all who knew how she syimpa

the burdens of those who suffered.
Her life touched the lives of hun

Somehow we cannot bring our
selves to think any sort of tragedy i

What an atmesphere of christian ap

as it coez to the last resting piacc"
What a consolation will be the rizht

to those who can understand. What
christian ccourage must be theirs as
they take an accounting of the use
fulness in her life!
She was not wealthy-—sne could
not bestow bountics on those who
needed sustenance—but she could
minister as a good woman can to
thoze who bore the marks of suffer
ing. Hers were willing hands. Self
cacrifice, denial of her own for the
happiness and comforts of others—
these were the things that will stand
an cverlasting ansgwer in the day of
the Great Dicpensation. These are
deeds that may be forgotten, but
they do not perish., In this hour of
great sorrow we remember the min
istry cf her heart, head and hand in
the eod she could do wherever the
cpportunity was afforded, and we
hold the assurance that her life has
carried its blessing to humanity in
an abundant outpouring of service. |
