SPARK FROM TOY PISTOL
STARTED A BIG FIRE
CHICAGO, I, June 29—(P)—
Sparks from a toy pistol in the hande
of a small boy set off a $5,000 stock
of fireworks, started a fire that re
sulted in damages of $260,000 to
“the tribe of K" and its stock store
at Gary, Ind, and threatened the
lives of seven people, Five sgmall
boys were making a pre-Fourth of
July ecelebration when the accident
occurred.
Miss Julia Anaerson, who had gone
to tht basement to replenish the
stock in her candy department, was
cut off from the stairway, and was
#lightly burned nefore being rescued
