COTTON MILL MAN DIES
2,300 VOLTS TOUCH HIM

Garland J. Moulder, 27, employee of
the Anderson Cotton Mills, was in
stantly killed about 1:40 o’clock thig
afternoon when he accidentally touch
ed a high powered electrie line car
rying 2,300 volts. The man was en
gaged in painting atop the warehouse
of the mill when the accident oc
curred, He was standing on a metal
roof and this completed the cirenit

small child, his mother and several

ATLANTA Ga., July 7—(P)—Ap
proximately 700 Georgians, who were
endeavoring to ecperate automobiles
in this state under license tags of
afothér state, principally Florida
have been forced to buy Georgia tage
since May 1, Charles Cook of the
automokile department of the sec
retary of state’s office said.
The Georgia law says that “it is
unlawful for a resident of this state
to operate a motor vehicle within
this state under a license issued by
another state,” ; ;
Mr. Cook said that there are »
number of Georgians now operatnig
cars under licenses of other states
awaiting the purchasing of Georgia
tags till half price rates goes into e¥-

to the Georgia law which reads, “It
is unlawful for a non-resident to op
crate a motor vehicle within this
state under a license of another
state for a longer period than 30

ton Peckrin, 23-yearold taxi driver
of the city whose ckull was crushed
with an axe wicld:! by an unidenti
fied person yestorday morning died
in a local hospitai this afternoon.
Peckrin never regained conscious
ness.
His wife, Hattic Peckrin, 22 and
his gister-in-lav,, Lucile Cushings age
13, who were al:o attacked are still
