SUCCESS
This is success, <o to have lived your
years \ ‘
That all who've known you should
have found you true, :
Have seen in some way what is best

\fi.'i found in you some comfort for
their tears,
A smile which passed but often re
appears.
Or heard a word which cheered them
through and trough
And think of you as one who tried
to do
Some friendly service in a time of

Great souls in humble bodies oftere

The noble spirits walk in common
ways,
In thoughtfulness for others they ex

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
Learn to make allowances for the
old and young, the wire and illiter--
ate, the wealthy and impoverished.
Temper judgment with kindness;
help instead of condermning. Many
people never get cut of the shadow.
Penury pulls at their heartstrings
and ill-health discolors their outlook.
" The benefit of a charitable fellow
ship is that the man who gains it is
wonderfully helped. Southey says:
“He who is most charitable in his
judgment is gencrally the least un
just, “Things brighten for him and
he remembers, when ne sees anoth
er less favorai)ly placcd than himself
that place might easily have been
filled by himself.
So long as a man is {zving, though
hi mhy fail, he is worth help and
o'vance, for such a rean is doing
