25—(P)—Rosy dreams of unlimited
power possibilities for radio have
failed to impress Prof. DBenjamin
Bailey, acting head of the Depart
ment of RBlectrical Engineering of
the University of Michigan.
Transmisgsion of power by radio,
predieted by many scientists is on
ly future hope, in the opinion of
Profcszor Bailey.
“Notlring we know at present in
dicates the poesibility of transmit
ting power by radio on a paying ba
sis,” he said. “Of course, we do not
transmit come power whenever we
broadeast a concert, but no one runs i
his washing machine by radio yet. ‘

to transmit water-power, he confines
the water in a pipe. Similarly, the
