RUN DOWN BY CARA DIES

25—The Rev. Jesse Love, 52,
evangelist from Valdosta, Ga., wio
was run down by an aulomaobiie
driven by Richard Seeger, of this
city,~died Tuesday. His skull was
fractured in'the accident .
Mr. Love had just arrived in Coun
cil Bluffs to conduct revival mect
ings in a ten near where the acci
dent occurred. J. H. Love, brother
of the dead man, arrived last night
from Oklahoma but a son on his vay
from Georgia, failed to arrive be
fore his father died. The evangelist
never regained consciousness.
Mr. Love was minister of e
Church of Christ and had preached
for the past 30 years in Texas,
Georgia, Florida and Tennéssee ana
other southern states. He left Val.
dosta several weeks ago to hold ra
ligious meetings in Indiana, Illinois
and lowa, His family resides in Vai
dosta and the body will be sent
there for burial.

ter of W. J. Vereen, former presi

facturers Agsociation, who died Mon
day night in a hogpital at St. Petors
burg, will be held from the [irst
Presbyterian church here Wednes
day afterncon at 4 o’clock.
Mrs, Stuart’s death resulted from
blood poisoning which develeoped a
week after she had an absessed
tooth extracted. Mr. and Mrs. W. C.
Vercen were with her when thee end
came.
FOUND DEAD AT TABLE

strange tableau of death, such as a

his imagination, was witnessed by
police today in a West Side tena
ment apartment.
An aged man and his wife, found
dead from gas, were sealea at a Gin
