year at ihe various schools and col
leges in Georgia and also at many
other institutions outside the state.
At Wesleyan the following girls are

MEETING POSTPONED WEEK.
On accoont of illness of the hostess,
the meecing of Twentieth Century
Club anvounced for Tuesday, Sep
tember twenty-first, has been post
poned until the following Tuesday.

abroad from Shorter College after a
three months trip of scenes and
events which will always be delight

York Harbor Friday last, and left in
a few hours for home. Miss Mangham
a member of this party stopped over
in Cordele to attend the funeral of

SUGGESTIONS. .
Italy is sending us some wonder
ful yellow pottery cake bowls, with
colored scenic decorations done in
round or oblong medallions on the
outside. These bowls are quite high
in price. The brown, green and white
glazed gottery bowls, with metal
rims, are attractive also, thohgh
they will not stand oven heat, It is
gafe to buy them without the metal
trim and then get a metal inset if
we wish to send them right to the
table. Tae old Majolica ware bowls
still favorites, are lovely for calad
use.

has been made dull by excessive heat
by rubbing it with boiled solution of
one pint cf very hot water, half tea
spoon o linseed oil. Apply when the
mixture is cool. Polich with another
cloth.
TODAYS RECIPES
‘Cheese Souffle.
Two tallespoons butter, one heap
ing tablespoon flour, three eggs, one
cup gratec cheese, one-half teaspoon
salt, speck of cayenne, one-half cup
milk. Put butter in saucepan. When
hot, but net brown add flour and stir
until smooth. Add milk and seasoning
and cook two minutes, add well beat
en egg yolks and chéese. Cool. Waen
cold, add well beaten whites. Turn
into butiered baking dish and bake
about {wenty minutes in a rather
quick oven. Serve immediately.
"ock Maple Pudding
One 2vd one-half cups brown
sugar, two cups boiling water, one
half cup cornstarch, dissolved in one
quarter cup cold water. Cook until it
thickens in double boiler fifteen
minutes. Then into this hot syrup
stir slowly the whites of three eggs
beaten «t{f. Add three quarters cup
of fine ground walnut meats. Beat
till it is well mixed and either pour
into a wole or sherbet glasses, It i 3
to be <e'ved with either custard
sauce or whipped cream,
