The British steam trawler Hohen
linden, with 2,000 ecases of alleged
liquor aboard, was seized Saturday
night by the coast guards as she was
uploading her cargo at a pier at Bay
wayy, N. J., it was learned today.
The crew fled when coast guards
arrived.
‘The vessel, said by coast guard,
officers to be an old offender, was
ssid to have unloaded 1,000 cases
of assorted liquor before the coast
gnard arrived. The vessel carried
tfig British flag and was under Brit
ish registry. Her home port is Mon
treal and she sailed from Halifax,
Mt 18, last, for an unnamed des
tination, coast guard officials said.

Queen Marie, who left Saturday for
Paris on the first voyage of her
long heralded trip to the United
States,

minute dizsappointment came to Bil
ly Van Pride, whose application for
wing walking and parachute jump
ing in aerial stunts at the South
eastern Fair this week had been act
ed on favorably by those in charge
of the exhibition,
Billy Van Pride happens to be at
tached to the Twenty-Second Infan
try at Fort McPherson. His failure
to obtain consent of the government
to participate in the aerial exhibi
tion necessitated his withdrawal,

know the exact reason why he will
not be indulging in aerial thrills
at Lakewood this week,
that she will follow me in my
travels with the thought that at ev
ery instant I shall seek o assist her.”
