: people for the yrcat power plant
which will be votcd on November 2nd
*Most encouraging ieports are cormaing
in from all secticns of Georgia. Tt
iz now no longer doubtfui as to what
_ the people of the state will do with
the the measure. So many good men
~ are endorsing the moveert that it is
" bbund to pass. Li fact there is no
word of opposition coming from any
source.
And throughontv the covnty where
* friends of the cause are busy there s
encouraging enthuisism and interest
Only the attorneys and agents of the
power company, paid to - perform
their duties here. are out doing any
‘E active work. Thev are preaching a

. ers of Crisp ar: told this will be a
»F' great burden sadcled upson them,
At last night’s mecting of the
friends of the cause tlicse present
heard a most ekcellont disposal of
this charge. Even if the taXpayers
had to shbf,u_lder the interest from the
outset tere would not be more than
:,n additional one mill \possible. In
ther words, wheve e'ghteen dollars
a thousand is now paid, hardly morci
than n#l)hen dilars & thousandi
could eveif ge added wisa the full in
terest on such nower bonds as mightJ
become due whiic the plant is being
constructed. After it is earning!
money it ’wivll‘ pay. for itself all,op
erating exbehsés. and have monéy
with which to relieve e tax payer.
Those who are hehind the movement
firmly believe it wiil in a short tie
insure a tax free cotinty, for it will
earn over and above ils own operat
