_"k‘o get the Crisp County Power Development on Fliit
itiver opposite Cordele. It goes to the people on
‘November 2nd in the form of an amendment t> the
'state constitution. It must be voted. We ask your
support and a kindly word wherever you can place
one to help.
I* =~ Here among our friends in Crisp county we are
‘pledging all our support together for the cause and
we urge the citizen whose mind is not yet made up to
think it over and follow the conclusion reached after
checking up those who are forit. We cannot know
everything ahead of time. We must believe in it
and work for it till it is a reality and the great help
'in building here that we think it will be.
' ' There is great strength in the unusually large
number of representative good people who are for it.
It gives us greater reason for supportine the move
ment and fighting for it. It cannot be a mistake.
You never saw so many good people for anything
that wasn’t worth while.
' Let’s fight for it to the very end and then
€o-operate in building and operating the
plant, The Crisp county power development
is worth fighting for a long time. There is a
great future for the county and section in it.

PHE CORDELE DISPATCH
REPORT OF YEAR'S WORK IN
ALABAMA IS ASTOUNDING IN
DUSTRIAL ROMANCE,
The Alabama Power Company In
ite reports of its year of activities
this season reports to its owners that
it brought twenty seven industries
into Alabama with pay rolls amount
ing to seven and a half million dol
lars annually. This means a great in
crease in the industrial population of
Alabama. It means a great addition
to the wealth of the state. It means
great opportunity for busy farms in
the industrial areas, for all the army
of people in those mills have to be
fed.
The Alabama Power Company
doesn’t sell its power any lower
‘than it has to do so to attract in
;dustry. It’s greatest and pulling ar
\gument is abundant POW-=
[cr, not so much cheap power. It
pulls factories with the claim that
lit has power to keep the . wheels
'turning. So the citizens of Crisp
county will be able to tell industrial
ceekers that < they have abundant
power, for their site is reported by
capable and experienced engineers
to be the best on Flint river for the
'production of hydro-electric pow
er, :
No idle hour of electric current
| will drag through that plant. When
|t!le wheels are turning, the buyers
| will be using it—-and out all over
!H\.is section there will be mills and
| industries oi many forms calling for
}all the power that can be produced.
:But there will always, be . enough
gprotection on this plant to make it
ipossible for the owners—the citi
‘zens of Crisp county—;to command
4 great lead in bidding for capital
wnich will go into the new mills
which are now coming to the sotuh
east. ‘

For This Meas
Industrial prosperity awaits us in Crisp county if we do
our duty November 2nd. The greatest single project for this
entire community is within our grasp. _.,.
The hydro-electric power plant will do more for Cordele
and Crisp county than even the most optimistic of us can at
this time estimate.
" Our votes on November 2nd will settle the matter. We
believe that we will measure up to the occasion and vote for
the future greatness of Cordele, Crisp county and Georgia.-
