ORGANIZE BRENAU CLUB, |
Responding to suggestions from
former students, that some'plan be
devised for keceping the alumnae in
closer touch with the college, and
with each other, the National Alum
nae Association of Brenau Collegei
is undertaking an extensive program
this fall for the establishing of Bre-i
nau Clubs wherever a suffiicent‘
number of former students and;
graduates can be brought together
in a community. |

etructors, IMiss Ethel May Bowers,
physieal diroctor, to act as alumnac
sectetgry and start @b.e club move
ment in Georzia. Miss Bowers, who
has been unuswpally successful in her
work among the girls of Brenau, is
eminently fitted to bring a renewal
of the old Brenau spirit ' to those
whom the years and various circum
stances have separéted from their
college.
After f)rggnizing Brenau Clubs in
all the towns of North Georgia, Miss
Bowers met with the well establish
ed club at Columbus, and then start
ed on a South Georgia tour. She has
organized live wire clubs in Eufaula,
Albany, Moultrie, Bainbridge, Thom
asville, Camilla, Valdosta, and Tif
ton and is now spending a few dayg
in Cordele. S
All former Brenau /studenis are
urged to come to the meeting on
Friday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at

TODAY'S RECIPE,
Canadian Apple Pudding
Place 2quarts of quartered apples
and 1 cup of sugar, with the excep
tion of 2 tablespoons, with 1-b of a
tablespoon of nutmeg in a deep pud
ding dish with a little water. Place
in a mederate over for 20 minutes.
In the meantime mix weli and run
tarough a sieve 1 pint of flour, 1
tablespoon of baking power, 12 ta
blespoon of salt and the reserved
2 tablespoons sugar. Add 1 cup of
milk and*l well beaten egg. stirring
with a spoon until smooth dough is
formed. Remove the dish from the
oven and gpread atter on top of
aprles. Return to oven and bake 20
minutes more. Serve with foamy
sauce.
