One cup suet, two and two-thirds
cups stale bread crumbs, one cup
grated raw carrot, four eggs, one
and one-third cups of brown sugar,
one cup raisins, one-half cup cur
rants one quarter cup sliced citron,
one-eighth cup flour, one and one- :
half teaspoon salt, one teaspoon cin- 3
namon, ong:half teaspoon grated nut
meg, one-q?;grter teaspoon cloves. .

popular that Charles B. Cochran, the
theatrical manager, is organizing a
Charleston ball at ‘Albert Hall.
“The Charleston,” he say sis

A message this morning to Mrs, J.
H. Chesley conveyed the news of the
sragic death, of her brother-in-law,
Mr, Sidney Sherwood; of Baltimore
Tuesday afternoon. He was rushed to
a hospital, buf neper regained con
seiousness and thHe_end came during
the night. He is/survived by his wife
and two grown daughters. o
