(P)—A payroll of $1,007 was stolen
today from H, I. Diamond, of the
Holdfast Rubber Company, he re
ported to the police by a man who
concealed himself in the rear of Dia
mond’s car while he was in the
bank and forced him to drive to
a designated corner, where he made
off with the money. : ‘
Diamond told the police that after
withdrawing the payroll money from
‘the Atlanta and Lowry National
“Bank he went directly to his auto
fmobile, parked nearby, and had
'startqd off when a voice from the

him that he was “covered” The rob
ber told him, he said that unless he
. drove according to directions he
' would be shot.
