CORDELE TAKES BOTH
GAMES OF BASKETBALL
The Cordcle High girls won their
contest, as did the boys in the bask
et ball battles at Standard Stadium
last night. The girls playeq through
their best contest. The final score
was eight to seventeen. Pinchurst
girls were game and battled to q)o
last, but the Cordele team had the
" edge in better players.
The Cordele High hoys went into
2 fray with the Leslie High that soon
amounted to a free for all fight. It
was quickly checked and apologies
made it possible to go on to the end.
The final score was nine and nine
teen, the Cordele team bhesting their
rivals at every turn. Referee Luck
and a number of citizens spectators
interferred in the fight and soon had
things cooled down.
v The cotton apparel contest sponsor
ed by Mr. W. J. Hall, tinner, had some
{welve or more girls entered and
these were judged between the ;fiames.
