THE BIRTH OF GREATNESS |
Who knows what a gocd life is or’
Wwhere
Lies lcss or failure in the plan.
One may the rags of hardship wear
And be no less a man.
Mary and Joseph did not seem .
A couple richly blessed with grace,
‘Who neighbored with them would '
g not dream 3 ‘
Their lofty place. : ‘ |
Yet Mary, brought the Christ to birth!
And none can tell the name or class
~Of all the throng W}!o came to earthl
That tais might come to pazs. 1
£y
:The humblest woman passing by |
.May ctill in glory have her share, ‘
:Her life, as Mary did, may lie |
In one. child she may bear.
' And who can comprehend the span
-Or count the-links in splendor’s
: chain?
God may take ages for his plan
One hero to attain
