Public Is Responding To
Appeal of Candidates In
Christmas Gift Campaign
A 9 P.M.SATURDAY‘
FOUR DAYS OF GOLDEN OPPOR
TUNITY REMAIN FOR AUTO
MOBILE WINNING HIGH NOTES.
At no time since the Dispatch
Christmas Gift Campaign started has
there been such active work on the
part of the candidates as now. This
fact is due to two circumstances In
the first place the public is resopnding
to the appeal of the candidates, also
every candiate knows that as ine days
pass there is that much less time in
which to get the first period subscrip- |
tion and high votes that mor2 often'
than not mean ultimate campaign suc
cess.
The First Vote eriod will clese
promptly at 9:00 p. m. Saturday De
cember 3rd and all subscriptions re=-
ceived after that hour will receive the
llower vote of the second period. In
fairness to the out of town candidates
they will be permitted to mail in their
reports and will receive first period
credits if the post mark on the en
velope shows that it was mailed betore
the closing hour of the period.
There are many subscriptions to be
taken in both the country districts and
in Cordele, and it is hoped “or the
sake of the candidates that as many
of these as possible will be collected
|this week. The campaign manager
again wants to emphasie the fact that
'never again will subseriptions eount
as many votes as they do at this time
‘:md that POSITIVELY THERE WILL
BE NO BONUS VOTES GIVEN DUR
‘. ING THE LAST WEEK OF THE
. CAMPAIGN.
. This week is the real opportunity
' week for every ambitious worker and
| these four remaining days of the first
!pm‘iod should be thought of as 5O
;many working hours that will be the
vital factor in determining the win
iners of the Chrysler Landau Sedan
