| INCLEMENT WEATHER LAST WEEK
| MAKES INCREASE OF WORK
[ NECESSARY TO WIN AUTOS. 1
‘ Tomorrow, Monday December 5t.11.}
;starts the second period of the l)is-T
patch Christmas Gift Campaign with
the second period votes in effect. This
is the highest remaining vote perriod
of the campaign and will be an im
portant one for many reasons. In the
first place the inclement weather dur
ing the last three days of thz first
period made work in the country next
.to &mpossible. There are yet to be
taken, hundreds of subscriptions in the
rural districts and a great many in
[Corde!e as well and the wise candi
dates will put forth every effort in
the next six days to get those original
subscriptions ‘turned in before votes
drop once again.
A subscriber first turned in on the
second period and later extenderd by a
second payment any time later will re
ceive the second period credits for the
whole number of years the extension
totals. So many times a candidate is
inclined to slow up with their work
after the close of the first vote period
and if that occurs in this campaign
|the candidates so doing are going to
lbe mighty sorry when the prizes are
awarded three weeks from now on De
cember 24th.
The standing of candidates that swill
appear in the Dispatch tomorrow
night will be read with interest by
candidates and subscribers alike. This
Ivmnding will show the leaders at the
i close of the first vote period and many
will be wondering if that lead can be
lnmintainod throughout the balance of
i the campaign.
