WOOL RESISTS SUN
| BETTER THAN SILK
BERLIN, (AP)—A German tech
‘niclan has found that wool offers
mere resistance to the disintegrating
action of sunshine than does silk, cot=
ton or linen.
| Exposing several fabrics to the
weather for a given period of time, he,
learned that the ultra-violet rays of
the san affected silk more “mpi-’ilyj
: than any of the cther textile fabvics
’mbmitted to the test. It took less
thay 200 hours of sunlight to de
{tciorate the silk, while ehrome. wool
was comparably affected in about 900
hours, for flax 990 hours, for herop,
1100 hourg and for raw wool 1120
hours,” o e
