Youth Dying From
. .
Burns; Skin Grafting
* Will Save His Life
A youth, 21 years old, until a few
weeks ago strong and robust, lies
dying in a local hospital. A few
fnches of skin to be graftea upon his
back will save his life. An appeal
was raade Monday for volunteers who
will allow skin to be taken from their
own bodies.
The young man was an employee in
a turpentine still in South Georgia.
His clothing accidentally caught fire,
the skin being burned entirely from
his shoulders and back. He was treat
ed by physician there until, his case
appearing hopeless, he was brought to
Atlanta.
Unless volunteers can be found, the
unfortunate youth will be sent back
to South Georgia. |
