Kristin Doll honored for volunteer service
Kristin Doll, director,
Volunteer Services, at
Southeast Georgia Health
System, has been awarded
the credential “Certified
Administrator of Volunteer
Services” by the Council
for Certification in Volun
teer Administration.

tive, and dedication to en
suring the Health System’s
volunteer services program
exceeds expectations have
made a meaningful, posi
tive difference in our pa
tients and visitors’ experi
ences.”
The CAVS is a national
credential that distin
guishes an individual as
being among the elite in
the field of volunteer man
agement in healthcare.
Doll joins a select group of
over 740 professionals in
the United States who have
attained this sought-after
credential.
Since joining Southeast
Georgia Health System in
2008, Doll has played an
integral role in the devel
opment of the volunteer
services program on the
Brunswick and Camden
campuses. In addition to
coordinating more than
Kristin Doll, director,

350 adult volunteers and
100 volunteens, her re
sponsibilities also include
overseeing Auxiliary
fundraising events, guest
services, and the gift shops.
To earn the CAVS desig
nation, Doll had to meet
eligibility requirements
that incorporate a blend of
work experience and edu
cation, agree to adhere to
Professional Standards of
Conduct, and pass a two-
hour CAVS examination
which tested her knowl
edge in six areas: Planning
and Program Develop
ment; Management of
Human Resources; Fi
nance; Organization and
Management of Services:
Outreach, Advocacy and
Public Relations; and Pro
fessional Development.

beauty products during the Health & Candle Fair on Jan. 30.
Health System offers free education lectures
Every day there are new
discoveries in health care
that help us live longer,
healthier lives. Southeast
Georgia Health System’s free
health education lectures are
designed to raise awareness
of these advancements and
other important health top
ics of interest to the commu
nity.
On Tuesday, January 29,
from 6-7 p.m., Theodore S.
Feely, M.D., nephrologist
will present “Kidney Dis
ease: The Basics and Be
yond.” The lecture will offer
information on kidney func
tioning and the early warn
ing signs of kidney disease.
The free lectures are held
from 6-7 p.m. in the Cam
den Campus Cafeteria
Conference Room, 2000
Dan Proctor Drive, St.
Marys.
Topics will vary each
month and a question and
answer session will be in
cluded at the conclusion of
each lecture. Light refresh
ments will be served.

health and candle fair
The Southeast Georgia
Health System Camden
Campus Auxiliary will host
a Health & Candle Fair on
Wednesday, January 30, 7
a.m.-3 p.m. in the Cafeteria
Conference Room, on the
Camden Campus, 2000
Dan Proctor Drive, St.
Marys.
The event will feature an
assortment of candles,
health and beauty products
for purchase, including pre
mium soy candles, essential
oil burners, relaxation foun
tains, Himalayan salt crys
tals, herbal spa wraps, and
much more.
Cash and most major
credit cards will be ac
cepted. As with all Auxiliary
fundraising events, pro
ceeds from the sale will be
donated to the Health Sys
