Southeast Georgia Health System Celebrates Doctors Day 2013
H ospitals and medical offices around the
nation celebrated National Doctors Day
on March 30 to say thank you to doctors
for their commitment to patients and their
communities. Southeast Georgia Health System
marked the occasion by recognizing the more
than 300 physicians, physician assistants and nurse
practitioners on staff with a luncheon on both the
Brunswick and Camden campuses.
“We are very appreciative of the dedication and
quality care provided by our physicians,” says
Howard W Sepp Jr., FACHE, vice president
and administrator for the Southeast Georgia
Health System Camden Campus. “This Doctors Day,
and every day, we extend a ‘thank you’ to our doctors
for all the work they do and all the lives they’ve changed
for the better. They’re the reason why so many people
in our region enjoy quality health care close to home.”
To honor the Brunswick Campus medical staff,
Southeast Georgia Health System made a $5,000
donation to the United Way of Coastal Georgia, and
a $2,500 donation to the Richard A. Ceniza, M.D.
Scholarship Fund for Allied Health Sciences in honor
of the Camden Campus medical staff.

who serve our community, I thank Southeast Georgia

name,” says Thomas C. Whitesell Jr., M.D.,
