Scouts build school furniture
Two Boy Scout Eagle can
didates from Troop 218,
Bryant Rivers and Mitch
Wagner, recently used their
talents to build furniture for
the media center at Kings-
land Elementary School
(KES).
Rivers designed and organ
ized the building of a two-
story reading loft equipped
with two storage benches and
plenty of room for students
to enjoy while reading.
Wagner designed and or
ganized the building of two
bookshelves, one big book
holder and a puppet theater
and also raised funds to pur
chase puppets.
Eagle Scout projects are
planned by the Eagle Scout
candidates and the funds are
raised by the Scouts through
various means, such as car
washes and donations from
sponsors.
