Local business people
learned how to establish
business relationships with
governments and bid on
contracts at a Chamber sem
inar on Tuesday.
About 44 participants, pre
senters and procurement
agents gathered at Citizens
State Bank Community
Center in Kingsland to ex
plore such topics as procure
ment and government
contracting, small business
certification and access to
procurement agents. The
day ended with a procure
ment fair in which the par
ticipants could interact
directly with agents of those
companies and governments.
Chamber
launches
its new
website
The Camden County
Chamber of Commerce
launched its newly re
designed website this week,
announced Chamber Presi
dent/CEO Leslie Hamrick.
She encouraged Camden
area residents and business
people to visit the site at
www.camdenchamber.com
Visitors can log on and
browse through the business
directory to find a local busi
ness and learn more about
them. The site includes an
extensive calendar of upcom
ing events and meetings, in
cluding the ability to register
and pay for events.
The Chamber website also
offers a wealth of informa
tion about Camden County
workforce, government,
schools and more.

Gross will
talk about
adventure
park site
Bill Gross, a local land
owner and developer, will
present a program on Epic
Adventures Project during
the Chamber’s upcoming
quaterly luncheon.
The event will be held
from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Mill-
house Steakhouse off Exit 3
in Kingsland.
Tickets, which include
lunch, are $15 for chamber
members and $20 for non
chamber members.
