Obituaries
Cheryl Caison Mobley
MOBLEY — Cheryl Caison
Mobley, 62, of Kingsland,
passed away Friday, Dec. 20,
2013, at Baptist Medical
Center in Jacksonville, Fla.,
after a brief and sudden ill
ness.
Born Nov. 8, 1951, in Mon-
cks Corner, S.C., she was
the daughter of the late Dial
W. and Anna E. Gaskins Cai
son. She was a graduate of
Berkeley High School and
Winthrop University. She pas
sionately served as an edu
cator at Berkeley and
Whitesville Elementaries,
Northwood Academy in
South Carolina, and Mary
Lee Clark Elementary in St.
Marys.
Cheryl retired in 2013.
Never one to sit idly and to
miss her “boys and girls” at
school, she continued serv
ing the children of Mary Lee
Clark Elementary.
She also stayed very active
serving the community,
camping, and traveling with
Rocky, her husband of 39
years, and enjoying time with
her much loved grandchil
dren. Her love lives on
through her family, her
friends, and the many chil
dren that she has taught
through her life. No one could
come into contact with her
without feeling the Lord’s
grace and mercy shinning
through her smile.
Funeral services were held
at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23,
2013, from the Southeast
Community Church in Kings
land, with Pastor Steve Cur
tis officiating and burial
following at Oak Grove
Cemetery.
The family received friends
at the church from 4-6 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013.
Survivors include her hus
band, James “Rocky” Mobley
of Kingsland; daughter,
Casey Mobley Fannin
(Randy) of Atlanta; sons,
James Nelson Mobley of
Waycross and John Ross
Mobley (Michele) of Kings
land; grandchildren Tyler
Dahlgren, Jacob Mobley,
Emma Mobley, Riley
Dahlgren and Jackson Mob
ley; sisters, Serene “Tiny”
Hammond of Augusta and
Lynne Caison Messemer of
Moncks Corner, S.C.;
brother, Dial Wilson Caison
of Tampa, Fla.

William Creech Jr.
CREECH — William “Bill”
Creech Jr. passed away Fri
day, Dec. 20. He is survived by
his wife, Joan; his son, Bill
Creech III; and his daughter,
Mariah, and her husband,
Shawn.
He also leaves behind his
three grandchildren, William,
Shawn and Bailey, as well as
numerous stepchildren,
grandchildren and great
grandchildren from his wife’s
family.
Bill was a proud Navy vet
eran, an avid outdoorsman
and a cancer survivor. Bill
would like all those who want
to send wishes to please
make a donation in his honor
to St. Jude’s Children’s Foun
dation.
Peggy Lawana Mills Warren
WARREN — Peggy
Lawana Mills Warren, 75,
went home to be with her
Lord and Savior on Tuesday,
Dec. 17, 2013.
Peggy was born on Jan. 13,
1938, in Kingsland to the late
Seaborn Foster Mills and
Mary Jane Waters Mills. She
attended Second Baptist
Church where she was in
volved in the Helping Hands
Ministries and any capacity
she was asked to serve.
Peggy received her associ
ate’s degree from Brewton-
Parker College, where she
was a cheerleader. She also
played tennis and basketball
in high school and later
played volleyball for Charter
Medical.
For many years, Peggy
worked as a purchasing agent
for Charter Medical and also
in retail as manager of Bella’s
Classy Rags. Peggy was a
delightful, charming lady of
grace. She was considered a
wonderful cook and espe
cially loved cooking for oth
ers.
She was passionate about
her family and loved to spend
time with her grandchildren,
including feeding the ducks.
In addition to her parents, her
beloved husband, Charles
Houston Warren, preceded
her in death.
Her memory will forever be
treasured by her loving and
devoted daughters, Lisa
Everidge (Karl), of Bonaire
and Sherri Adcock (Joseph)
of Centerville; grandchildren,
Mandy Camp O’Brien, Tyler
Houston Bryant, Luke Mc-
Graw, Ansley McGraw, all of
Warner Robins; three great
grandchildren, Miles, Mia and
Charlie O’Brien; twin brother,
Joe Mills (Frances) of San
ford, Fla.; sister, Myrt Spell of
Jacksonville, Fla.; many lov
ing nieces and nephews; and
a host of other loved ones
and friends.
A memorial service cele
brating Peggy’s life was held
at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, in
the chapel of McCullough Fu
neral Home. The family
greeted visitors after the serv
ice in the chapel.

Marys. Allison Memorial

A Winter Wild Discovery
Camp will be held Thursday,
Jan. 9, and Friday, Jan. 10, at
Crooked River State Park in
St. Marys.
The camp will be held
from 9 a.m. to noon. Chil
dren ages 6 to 11 years old
are invited.
The camp will include two
mornings of winter outdoor
games, a hike, a bonfire and
arts activities — all inspired
by the animals, birds and
plants found at the park.
Campers will also have an up
close and personal encounter
with some of the animals that
live at the nature center.
Students need to wear
clothing appropriate for win
ter outdoor fun, bring a
snack and plenty of water.
The cost is $20 per camper.
Participation is limited to 20
students, so pre-registration
is required.
