Month. Colorectal caner is
the second leading cause
of cancer-related deaths in
the U. S. among cancers

Second Successfiil Cleanup
By Luke Haney
Lifestyle Editor
Dozens of volunteers
gathered around the com
munity to clean during a
second community
cleanup event, gathering
more than 1,400 pounds of
trash.
After weather concerns
arose around the com
munitywide Upson County
cleanup held on Feb. 6, a
“rain check” was planned.
After the success of the
first event, enthusiastic
volunteers found it suiting
to hold a second cleanup
on Sat., Feb. 20, the back
up day for the first
cleanup.
Main roads covered
during the Feb. 20 cleanup
included Trice Cemetery
Road, Technology Park
way, Daniel Street, Em-
maus Church road, Indian
Trail, Triune Mill Road,
and County Road.
On the following Mon
day, members of the
Upson Lee High School
FFA Chapter chose to pick
up litter as a community
service project for Na
tional FFA Week 2021.
Representatives say they
chose to clean litter be
cause of the recent local
cleanup efforts.
