Local Man Charged
in Domestic Incident
Christophere Loggins,
30, of O Street in Thomas-
ton, was charged with pos
session of a firearm during
the commission of a felony
following a domestic inci
dent Sunday on Springdale
Drive, according to a report
from the Thomaston Police
Department.
Loggins, who arrived at
the Springdale Drive res
idence in his brother’s car to
drop his son with the
mother, began acting in a
“loud and tumultuous
manner,” the report stated.
He kicked a dent in the fe
male’s vehicle door, threw a
coffee cup at another wit
ness’ truck window, then
shattered the truck window
with a 4x4 piece of wood.
Witnesses said Loggins
retrieved a pistol from his
brother’s car and pointed it
in the direction of several
people standing on the
porch of the residence, say
ing, “I got mine.” When the
mother attempted to re
move her child from the
back seat of the car, Loggins
shoved her to the ground
into mud, according to the
report.
Offenders had fled the
scene before Officer Justin
Sanders arrived.
Sanders said when he
arrived at Loggins’ res
idence on O Street, his
brother said he had not seen
Loggins in two days. A
neighbor working on his ve
hicle next door, a few feet
from the offender’s vehicle,
said Loggins arrived 10 to 15
minutes prior to police.
Another witness said she
spoke with Loggins, his
brother, and the six-year-
old son about one hour
prior.
The brother refused to
allow officers into the home

A true fisherman doesn’t
have to be begged to fish, a
true golfer doesn’t have to be begged to golf, a true
shopper doesn’t have to be begged to shop, a true
sports fan doesn’t have to be begged to keep up with
sports.
Why does a professing Christian have to be
begged to support the things of God? Churches have
hired worship leaders to beg the congregations to
smile in the services.
A true fisherman, a true golfer, a true shopper, a
true sports fan all love what they do. This proves that
a true Christian will love the Lord and the things of
the Lord.
Telephone committees are formed, post cards
and emails are sent, begging the members of
churches to get involved. I believe that Jesus hit the
nail on the head in Revelation 2:4. “Nevertheless I
have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left
thy first love.” He was speaking to the church.
Begging, begging, begging professing Christians
to smile, to worship, and be involved reveals that
those do not love the Lord Jesus as golfers, fish
ermen, shoppers, and sports fans love what they fol
low.
