Lynne Crockett
Mrs. Tonya Lynne
Crockett, age 59, of Wood
bury, died Thursday, April
29, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Crockett was born
May 16,1961 in Thomaston,
to the late Edward O'Neil
Tindell and the late Mrytle
Bridges Tindell. She
worked for a cleaning serv
ice for a number of years
and attended The Cove
Baptist Church.
Survivors include her
companion, Casey Hicks of
Woodbury; daughter, Re
becca Crockett of Thomas
ton; son, Terry Wayne
Crockett of Cleveland,
Tenn.; brothers, Rex Tin
dell of Manchester and
John Tindell of Thomaston;
sister Gayle Whitehead of
Thomaston; and five grand
children.
Funeral services were
held Sunday, May 2, in the
chapel of Coggins Funeral
Home. Interment followed
in Crystal Hill Cemetery.

"Money" Gibson
Mr. William "Money"
Gibson, age 73, of Chatfield
Road in Culloden, passed
April 20, 2021 at Navicent
Health Care in Macon.
Graveside services were
held Tuesday, April 27, at
Salem Baptist Church Cem
etery. Pastor Hope Smith
officiated, assisted by Rev.
Maurice Raines.
Mr. Gibson was a
member of Salem Baptist
Church. He was educated
the Upson County School
System. He graduated from
Crawford County Training
School with the Class of
1967. He retired from the
Atlanta Public School Sys
tem as a custodian.
He was survived by his
wife, Mrs. Betty Gibson of
Marietta; five children, Ms.
Schaletha Sanders, Mr.
Maurice Sanders, Mr. Wil
liam Valdez Sanders, Ms.
Natalie Sanders, and Mr.
Carlos Sanders, all of At
lanta; 15 grandchildren and

Mrs. Ginny Andrews
Gower, age 92, of Thomas
ton, died April 28, 2021, at
the residence other daugh
ter in Griffin. A graveside
memorial service for Mrs.
Gower will be held Friday,
May 7, at 2 p.m., in South
View Cemetery, with Rev.
Barber officiating.
Mrs. Gower was born in
Gainesville Dec. 30, 1928,
to the late Rate and Ella
Rider Luther. She received
a bachelor’s degree from
Tift College and moved to
Thomaston in 1950 to teach
seventh and eighth grade
English at R.E. Lee Gram
mar School.
Mrs. Gower was a
member of the Green
Thumb Garden Club,
Upson Regional Medical
Center Auxiliary, and Red
Hatters Society. She was a
member of the Thursday af
ternoon bridge club for
more than 50 years. Mrs.
Gower enjoyed traveling,
reading, painting, sewing,
cooking, and needlework.
She was a member of
First Baptist Church of
Thomaston, where she was
active in the Welcome Sun
day School Class.
Mrs. Gower was pre
ceded in death by her par
ents; her first husband of
36 years, Frank Powell An
drews, Jr.; and her second
husband, Dr. William Jus
tus Gower.
She is survived by a
daughter, Ashley (Bob)
McKneely of Griffin; a son
Powell (Tamara) Andrews
of Bowling Green, Ky.; and
three grandchildren, Maci
M. (Zach) Howard of Hick
ory, N.C., Morgan
McKneely of Griffin, and
Frank Huckabay "Huck"
Andrews of Shreveport, La.

Harper, age 55, of McKinley
Drive in Griffin, formerly of
Thomaston, passed away
Saturday, April 24, 2021 at
Kennestone Hospital in
Marietta. Public
viewing was held Wednes
day, April 28 at the chapel
of Bentley’s Funeral Home,
located at 518 N. Hightower
St. in Thomaston. Grave
side services were held
Thursday, April 29 at Ken
dall Family Cemetery, on
Logtown Road in Thomas
ton. Pastor Gerod Duff offi
ciated.

will miss her dearly.

Mr. Jerry Edmond
Jackson, age 73, of Thom
aston, passed away Sat
urday May 1, 2021 at
Harborview Health and
Rehab.
Mr. Jackson was born
March 29,1948 in Thomas
ton, to the late Edmond
Carter Jackson and the late
Georgia Crawford Jackson.
He served in the United
States Army from 1968 to
1974. He served in the Viet
nam War as a dog handler.
He was preceded in
death by his brother Joseph
Jackson and sister Joyce
Roberts.
Survivors include his
wife, Linda Jackson of
Thomaston; daughter, Deb
orah (Marty) Ellis of Thom
aston; son, David
(Amanda) Jackson of En
glewood, Fla.; sister, Jessie
(Craig) Stegall of Varnell;
four grandchildren; and
one great-grandchild.
The service was held di
rectly after the visitation in
the sanctuary of Northridge
Church May 4. Interment
followed in South View
Cemetery.

Mr. Simon Zeek
Mr. Simon Zeek, age 84,
of West Fayetteville Road in
Riverdale, passed April 15,
2021 at his residence.
Graveside services were
held Wednesday, April 21,
at the Salem Baptist Church
Cemetery. Pastor Jimmy
Lyons officiated, assisted by
Pastor R.L. White, Jr., Pas
tor Hope Smith, and Pastor
Rickey Wright.
Mr. Zeek was a member
of Mr. Ephraim Baptist
Church in Atlanta. He was
educated in the public
school of Kershaw, S.C. In
his adult years he moved to
Passaic, N. J. In New Jersey
he joined Union Baptist
Church, where he was later
ordained a deacon. He was
a faithful member and sung
in the choir. He retired
from Sleepable Sofas,
where he rebuilt furniture.
He moved to Georgia in
2006 and was joined in
marriage to Ms. Bernice
Montgomery.
He leaves to cherish his
memory, a loving and de
voted wife, Mrs. Bernice
"Bunnie" Montgomery
Zeek of Riverdale; one son,
Jason (Suzanne) Zeek of
Falling Waters, W.V.; three
grandchildren; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Ms. Patri
cia Montgomery of Fair-
burn, Mr. Sanford
(Delores) Montgomery of
East Point, Mr. Charlie Wes
(Carol) Montgomery and
Mrs. Cora (Larry) Little, all
of Thomaston, Mrs. Eliza
beth Ham of Jonesboro; a
longtime friend, Mrs. Patsy
(Clint) Bacon of Passaic,
