Yatesville Celebrates Memorial Day
By Kinsley Riggins
Staff Writer
Yatesville celebrated
Memorial Day with its an
nual reading of local vet
erans’ names. There were
crosses displayed with the
names printed and a larger
cross marked with “Un
known Soldiers.” The
crosses are located along
Highway 74 in Yatesville.
There were also newly
constructed Armed Serv
ices flags being flown in
honor of the brave men
and women from each
branch of the military who
died for our country. Four
Upson Lee NJROTC ca
dets were part of the Color
Guard for the ceremony.
Considering events in
the world today, be sure to
take time to be grateful
and honor the courageous
men and women of our
country’s military.
