Notice with me the words
from I Corinthians 15:32. “If
the dead rise not, let us eat
and drink; for tomorrow we die.” The meaning of
those words is let’s party on, because at death it’s all
over. But, the Word of God is clear that everybody
goes to one of the two places at death. Those that
don’t believe this cannot change the truth, because
it’s going to happen.
The serpent told Eve in Genesis 3:4, “ye shall not
die.” People live today attempting to tune out of their
thoughts that they will eventually die. They are de
ceived that some way, somehow, it will all work out.
You’ll hear in most funerals today the same words,
“Well, the individual that died is now much better
off.” That’s true if the individual that died is a Chris
tian, but it’s not true if the individual that died is not
a Christian. Born again people go to Heaven when
they die and those who are not born again will go to
a devil’s hell. This is called old fashioned today, and
it’s brushed off as something that’s no longer true.
God called preachers are hard to find now, altar
calls no longer exist in most churches. It just seems
as if many think the Word of God has run its course.
