How important is the ev
eryday life of a Christian
when it comes to being
around the unsaved? Something that we need to
keep in mind is what Jesus said in Matthew 5:16:
“Let your light so shine.” This verse goes on to say
let your light so shine, “before men.”
Why is it essential that this light shines before
men? Well, this verse answers that question. That
men will see our good works, and glorify our Father
which is in Heaven.
Christians must also remember how we act in
public is very important. Losing our temper, using
foul language, going around with a grouchy, negative
attitude will be difficult to convince someone who is
lost that they need to be saved. They may reply that
it didn’t help us much by what they see.
I heard a story years ago about a job interview
that a Christian had. When the Christian got home
from the interview, his wife asked how the interview
went when it came to him being a Christian. His
reply was they had no idea that I am one.
