SHOP AT HOME THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON...
when you shop locally this Christmas, the gifts you
give keep on giving... that’s because dollars spent
here at home can be reinvested by local businesses
that support economic activity in our community,
pay salaries, and contribute to our local tax base...
In fact, studies show that spending at independent
retailers generates more than three times the local
economic return than spending at chain competi
tors... What’s more, shopping locally nurtures a
sense of community because we all know, our lo
cals support everything good that goes on here... so
go ahead and splurge this season on feel-good local
shopping that makes a difference in our com
munity.

Foot Chase Ends in Felony Charges
Tyson Terrell Holmes of

Last Wednesday night I
taught in our Bible study on
the subject, “The Knowledge
of The Truth.” The word
knowledge means full discernment. So, we see from
that meaning we can have full discernment of truth
and the truth spoken of here is the Word of God.
There are people that have truth lying somewhere
in their home, but do not have any knowledge of that
truth which is their Bible. Jesus said in John 16:13,
the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth.
We never come to the place that we know it all
when it comes to the Word of God, but that should
not keep us from continued growth into a mature
Christian. I mentioned last Wednesday night that one
of the saddest verses to read is II Timothy 3:7. “Ever
learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of
the truth.”
God has placed His Word in this world and there
is no other book in comparison. Only a few Christians
really study the Word of God and that leads me to a
verse that I refer to often in Hosea 4:6. “My people
are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
Which part of God’s Word have you studied re
cently and with the help of the Spirit received knowl
edge from what you studied?
