Contest. Auditions will be
held at the Crimson
Moon in Dahlonega from
7-9 p.m. onThursday,
July 26 during open mic
night. Auditions will also
be held from 8-10 p.m.
July 23 and 30 at
Shenanigans pub in
Dahlonega during open
mic night, as well as on
the following dates: 7-9
p.m. July 19 at the
DawsonvilleTavern; 3-5
p.m. July 22 at the
Georgia Racing Hall of
Fame in Dawsonville;
July 29 at Dahlonega
UCB. If you cannot make
any of the scheduled
times, NOA is also
accepting video auditions

The Little Village
Montessori School is
hosting two open house
events this month, from
4 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 19
and July 26 at the school,

Little Village Montessori
School is Lumpkin
County's first Montessori
preschool and serves
children aged three to six
and is a ministry of the
Dahlonega Presbyterian
Church. Pre-enrollment is
underway and a formal
grand opening will be
scheduled next month.

The Bowen Center for
the Arts has issued a
call to artists for a culi
nary art juried show.The
deadline to enter is July
28 and art and photogra
phy that is culinary or
food related can be sub
mitted.There will be over
$400 given in prizes and
awards and the exhibit
will be on display Sept.
7-21 at the Bowen.The

Family Connection are
sponsoring "Stuff the
Bus" from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. Saturday, July 28 in
the Kroger parking lot.
Volunteers will be collect
ing donated school sup
plies until the bus is
stuffed. Bring donations
of backpacks, notebooks,
pens, pencils, classroom
cleaning supplies and
more to contribute to the
project, which will benefit
students in Dawson

Christian church with a
ministry for women with
addiction or mental health
problems. After an orienta
tion period, women who
receive ministry can bring
their young children to live
and heal with them. AH is
one of the few programs
where children can join
mothers as they are
receiving ministry for
addiction. On the border
of Dawson and Forsyth
counties, AH is the safe
home many women have
never had. Local churches
and companies that part
ner with AH will have col
lection days where indi
viduals can bring food,
clothing, baby items and
furniture to help support
the ministries. Local
churches will provide
vouchers that can be
redeemed at Abba's
Treasures, a store Abba

are food, clothing, baby
