M. ADJOURNMENT
The Dawsonville City Council voted and
approved the millage rate of 8.962 mills and to roll
the rate back to 0.000 for the tax year 2018 at the
August 6, 2018 regular meeting. The City will not
levy a tax for the current fiscal year. This results
in a tax savings of $896.20 for the owner of a
non-homestead property with a fair market value
of $250,000. A chart summarizing the tax effect for
the past 5 years can be found on the City’s website
titled City of Dawsonville 5-Year Millage
Rate History at www.dawsonville-ga.gov.
