Voting
number of active regis
tered voters, or those
eligible to vote in the
midterms.
In 2014 the number
of active registered
voters was 13,300 and
14,591 in 2016.
Ferguson said the
approximate number
of active registered
voters for 2018 is
18,284.
Ferguson said there
has been no long wait
ing periods so far.
“We have had very
little wait time,”
Ferguson said in an
email. “There has been
a line of 15 or so peo
ple at a time, but it
moves fairly quickly.”
Voters can visit My
Voter Page at www.
mvp.sos.ga.gov to
check registration sta
tus, polling information
and a sample ballot, but
Ferguson said that if
anyone has questions
about their voter status
to call the local regis
trar office at (706) 344-
3640.
“(My Voter Page) is
an accurate source, but
specific to how you are
registered presently,”
Ferguson said. “If you
put in information and
it shows ‘no voter
found,’ it doesn’t nec
essarily mean you are
not registered to vote.”
Early voting is from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday through
Friday now through
Nov. 2, with Saturday
voting from 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. Oct. 27.
All precincts will
vote at the board of
elections office for
early voting. The
office is at 96
Academy Avenue in
Dawsonville.
Election Day voting
will be from 7 a.m. to
7 p.m. Nov. 6 at desig
nated precincts.

DAWSON COUNTY
OFFICIAL ABSENTEE/PROVISIONAL/CHALLENGED BALLOT
OFFICIAL GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT
OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA
NOVEMBER 6, 2018
To vote, blacken the Oval (•) next to the candidate of your choice. To vote for a person whose name is not on the ballot, manually WRITE his or her name
in the write-in section and blacken the Oval (9) next to the write-in section. If you desire to vote YES or NO for a PROPOSED QUESTION, blacken the
corresponding Oval (•). Use only blue or black pen or pencil.
Do not vote for more candidates than the number allowed for each specific office. Do not cross out or erase. If you erase or make other marks on the ballot
or tear the ballot, your vote may not count.
If you change your mind or make a mistake, you may return the ballot by writing “Spoiled" across the face of the ballot and return envelope. You may then
mail the spoiled ballot back to your county board of registrars, and you will be issued another official absentee ballot. Alternatively, you may surrender the
ballot to the poll manager of an early voting site within your county or the precinct to which you are assigned. You will then be permitted to vote a regular
ballot.
7 understand that the offer or acceptance of money or any other object of value to vote for any particular candidate, list of candidates, issue, or list of issues included in this election constitutes an
act of voter fraud and is a felony under Georgia law. "fOCGA 21-2-285(h) and21-2-383(a)j
