Getting in on the ground floor of
the Ponce City Market leasing has been
an interesting experience for Krinsky
and the company. “I’m curious to see
this grand food hall,” Krinsky said.
Food trucks set up in the parking lot
daily, but there is much anticipation
regarding the restaurants that are set to
open soon in the complex.
“There is something in the air,”
Krinsky commented regarding the
atmosphere of the development.
“Even the construction workers can
feel it.” He maintains that there’s
a certain energy to the Ponce City
Market development that has
continued to build throughout the
renovation. “I’m part of something
that’s going to be a bis part of Atlanta

What’s open, what’s on the way
to Ponce City Market

Progress on the redevelopment of
the former Sears & Roebuck building
into Ponce City Market continues both
inside and out, although a few delays have
cropped up along the way.
The Central Food Hall is behind
schedule, but restaurants and stalls should
begin opening in August. The latest
addition to the hall will be The Mercury, a
cocktail-focused, classic American eatery
inspired by the culture of the 1960’s, will
open on the second floor later this year
with direct access to the Atlanta BeltLine.
The Mercury is the latest concept from the
team behind The Pinewood in Decatur.
Also coming soon to the Food
Hall: H&F Burger; gourmet Italian
from Beilina; Indian street food from
Boti; Dub’s Fish Camp; Farm to Ladle;
Honeysuckle Gelato; Jia, Authentic
Szechuan; Juice Box; Simply Seoul
Kitchen; Mexican concept Minero;
Guy Wong’s new Japanese concept,
Ton Ton; and Spiller Coffee.
On the retail and business side,
a number of new companies will be
taking up occupancy in the coming
months. Industrious, a collaborative
workspace for entrepreneurs, will
be moving into the mixed-use
development later this year. The
company will have 27,981 square feet
on the 8th floor of the former Sears &
Roebuck building in the Old Fourth Ward.
Also announced: Q Clothier, men’s apparel;
Rye 51, men’s apparel and whiskey bar;
Lily Rain, women’s apparel and accessories;
Onward Reserve, men’s apparel and home
goods; Karoo, South African-inspired
eyewear: and CorePower Yoga.
A flagship store for the Frye Company
has announced it will open in August in
a 4,000 square foot store on the mail level
above the retail arcade. The footwear and
accessory shop is the oldest operated shoe
company in America, starting in 1863.
Also on the retail side, clothing
and accessory store Anthropologie was
scheduled to open in June, as was furniture
shop West Elm.
