Mr. Nicholas
Eliuk
It is almost impossible
to come up with enough
words to describe the lov
ing husband, father, and
grandfather that Nick
was. Above all his educa
tional and professional
accomplishments, his
family was of utmost im
portance. His love and de
votion for his family was
evident through his final
days.
Nicholas Eliuk, 85,
passed away on July 10,
2023, at Piedmont Fay
ette Hospital.
He was the husband of
Marliese (Henninger)
Eliuk. They were married
59 wonderful years ago.
Nick was born in 1937
in New York, N.Y. and
grew up in Queens. His
father was Michael Eliuk
and his mother was Fania
(Kapura) Eliuk.
He attended Brooklyn
Technical High School (a
highly competitive pro
gram) and entered the
U.S. Air Force as an
avionics technician for B-
52 aircrafts. Following the
Air Force, he maintained
employment in the avia
tion industry with PanAm
and KLM Airlines, rising
to senior ground engineer
for multiple large pas
senger aircrafts in New
York. He subsequently ac
cepted a transfer with
KLM Airlines to Atlanta
Hartsfield Airport.
He lived in Fay
etteville since 1985.
Nick was an avid pho
tographer and did many
weddings, but his favorite
was photography for
family events. He also
loved astronomy. He
spent many nights out
side with his various tele
scopes and cameras
viewing the moon, plan
ets, nebulae, and stars.
He has a much closer
view now.
He is survived by his
wife, Marliese; daughters,
Michelle Parker and San
dra Berube; their hus
bands, Matthew and
Derek; four grandchil
dren, Nicholas, Collin,
Evan, and Madelyne; and
one great-grandchild,
Anastasia.
The funeral service
will be limited to immedi
ate family members in his
residence in Fayetteville.
His ashes will be held
until he is joined by his
wife, and they will be in
terred together in Florida.
He will receive military
honors for his service.
In lieu of flowers, me
morial donations may be
made to the American
Heart Association. We
welcome you to provide
your condolences,
thoughts, and memories
on our tribute wall.
